What to bring
For general portfolio work, or sexy photos for your S.O., you should
bring the following:
- Make-up kit
- Several outfits that you feel show yourself to your best advantage. Options to consider include: Jeans/cute top, Business wear, lingerie, bikini, sexy shoes, and clubwear.
- Driver's license
At least an hour before the photo session you should remove your bra, and any other tight fitting clothing. That gives time for any pressure lines to fade. This is true for any kind of revealing or semi-revealing shots, even if you won't be posing topless or nude.
Yes, No, and Talk me into it
If you're hiring me to do photos, you need to consider the type of photos you're
after. In particular, you need to decide if you're going to do any topless or
nude photos. Whether you are, or not, makes no difference to me, but you don't
want to leave the photo session having not done something you wanted to do, or
having done something you didn't want to do.
I understand, however, that you may be shy about saying what you want. To that end I work off of Yes, No, and Talk me into it responses. So, if I ask if you want to do topless photos, you might says Yes which is clear enough. You might say No which is also clear enough, and I won't ask again. If you say I'm not sure, or I haven't decided, or any other answer that's not Yes or No, I'll take that as really meaning I sort of do, but I'm nervous and want to be persuaded. In that case, I'll try to ease you into it.
Chaperones
I encourage you to bring a chaperone to any photo shoot. I'd prefer that it
just be a friend though, and not your husband/boyfriend unless you are a
professional model and your husband/boyfriend normally acts as your chaperone.
It can be a lot of strain on the guys to watch you posing for me,
and it can make you more nervous too. If he insists, then bring him along,
but be aware that it may not be the best idea.
Proof of Age
I never take underage clients, and
require a driver's license, or other proof of age for all customers and models.
Yes, even for non-nude work.
